Breakfast with a Princess...or 5! (Day 4 - 3/8)

We woke up early and head to the Magic Kingdom for breakfast at Cinderella's Royal Table as a surprise for Olivia.  We also had a Cinderella costume with us for her to wear that she didn't know about, she was absolutely thrilled to wear it.  Everyone addressed Liv as "Princess" all day long and she just thought that was amazing.  The park was empty except for those of us with breakfast or tour reservations, so, we took advantage of it and stopped for pictures on our way into the castle.  That in and of itself was worth the price of the breakfast!!  I had better Crocs picked out for Liv to wear with this dress...silver glittery ones, but, of course, when I went to order, they didn't have her size.  I didn't realize the pink ones would stand out so much or I may have rethought the outfit!  How cute is she though!!!  She ate up every bit of being a princess and didn't even want to take the dress off even when we went to bed!

The breakfast was worth every penny and we enjoyed it immensely.    Liv got to meet almost every princess and thought they were all super nice.  Owen on the other hand was absolutely mortified.  He didn't want to do pictures and hated being called "prince".  Hahaha.  For breakfast, the Disney photographers took the pictures with Cinderella, but, the other princesses visit you at your table and you are on your own for pictures.  It took me a couple tries, but, I eventually got a good place for Liv to stand in the dining hall for a good shot.  I also didn't realize how accommodating the princess would be if you asked.  They were all really sweet and generous with their time.

Dave and I thought it was the cutest thing ever how Olivia climbed the stairs with her dress...as if she might trip on it.  She was so super excited to meet Cinderella, it made such a special morning.

After the breakfast we headed over to the Seven Dwarf's Train and this time, we all rode it together.   As expected, Olivia HATED it!  She had a death grip on me the whole time.  She was so afraid it kind of ruined the ride for me too.  It was hard not to feel her fear.  I was just begging for the ride to be over for her sake.  You can see in the picture how afraid she was.  But, I thought it was important that she try it at least once.  I'm not sure why now though! ;O)

This is the coolest part of the ride to me.  After you get off the ride, the exit path leads you right past a full-size replica of the Seven-Dwarf's cottage.  Pretty cool huh!

We hit Mickey's 3-D show Philharmagic afterwards which is always fun to watch and hasn't changed a bit!!  Then, on the way out, we stopped in the attached store to look at ears and Owen got to try his might on the Sword in the Stone which he had been dying to get his hands on.

To our amazement, he pulled it out!!  Everyone around us was as shocked as were we...I had no idea that could happen!  It was awesome and Owen was thrilled beyond belief!

In another visit to the park later on, Dave noticed a dude in street clothes quietly walking around with a remote control that he pushed to allow another little boy to pull up the sword.  So amazing.  Poor Owen, I was really making him pose for the picture, I figure the guy took pity on him with such a high-maintenance mom!!

Afterwards, we all rode Prince Charming's Regal Carrousel again.  Even Owen enjoyed it.

Then it was time for all of us to go the interactive show Enchanted Tales with Belle.  Olivia was given the role as the Wardrobe!  Super cute!  Again, this show did not make Owen's day, but, Liv insisted he stay by her side instead of in the audience with the adults.  This is the professional pic of Liv, I was super disappointed in the quality considering, but, guess it gets the job done.  Lumiere in the background is an unbelievable robot, his arms are fluid like a snake and his flames looked so real.

After Belle's show, we had some time to kill and the kids were dying to do the Tomorrowland Speedway ride.   Disney doesn't allow you to pick the times for your Fast Passes.  Instead, you pick your attractions and they assign you three different time options to choose from.  In most cases, you have an hour window to use your fast pass on a particular attraction and they allow up to two hours between the end of one Fast Pass window and the beginning of another.   We found the whole Fast Pass system entirely infuriating and it was awful to have to plan what parks you would go to and what rides you wanted to do and when 60 days prior to your arrival.  It took the spontaneity and flexibility out of having park hopper tickets and required lots of spreadsheets and planning...also not something I think of when I think Disney!!

Anyway, fortunately for us, since we didn't have a Fast Pass, the line to Tomorrowland Speedway wasn't bad and we were able to wait it out.  Unfortunately for the kids, I amuse myself in long lines by taking their pictures! ;O)

Liv's the one driving Dave's car...not sure how that went since they were behind us, hahaha!!  Can you see her little hair poof above the steering wheel? ;O)

Afterwards, Dave talked us into waiting in the long line for Haunted Mansion which scared Liv a little and Owen and I both think is boring...and then it was time for our last Fast Pass, the Jungle Cruise.

We headed out of the park for lunch at the Cheesecake Factory...some of us with a chauffeur...and had another late nap.   On the bus ride home, the bus driver was nice enough to announce that we had a special guest on board, a real Disney Princess.  It was noisy and I didn't figure Olivia had even heard him, but, she exclaimed, "Gasp, that's ME!".  She was super pleased.  All of the staff at Disney is amazing.  It's amazing the customer service and just overall pleasant demeanor the "Cast Members" provided everywhere we went, even the bus drivers!

Olivia insisted on keeping her dress on for lunch...this is how princesses role...

We decided to stick close to the hotel again that evening and watched a Movie Under the Stars at the hotel, Lilo and Stitch, so fun!  The Caribbean beach movie is right next to the pool and the pool bar, so, Dave and I each had a fun drink while we watched.  The downside is there's lots of noise which makes it hard to focus on a movie.

Afterwards, Owen and Olivia spent some time playing in the hotel's arcade and had sone downtime in the room before getting some sleep.
