We Are In SO Much Trouble...

I swear, this kid is something else!!  It's almost impossible to keep up with all of her new accomplishments.  At a few days shy of 6 months, she sits up on her own for long periods of time, she prefers to drink from a cup rather than a bottle (an actual cup, not a sippy cup), and she's talking up a storm!

Thought I'd share a couple videos of her latest achievements.  In this one, she's feeding herself...I put the food on the spoon and she likes to do the rest.  In fact, some days its quite a battle, she absolutely refuses to eat unless you let her do it.  I can almost here her say "I can do it myself".  Don't mind the yelling in the background...that's just Owen doing his "pretend play".  He's such a nut!

This one is of her talking.  Dave thinks she knows what the words "Mama" and "Dada" mean because she uses them so selectively.  Although, it seems to me that "Mama" only comes out most when she's mad or doesn't feel good, I'm not sure those are the associations I want her to make!  She'll say "Dada" for Dave, but, when I encourage her to say "Mama" I swear she intentionally refuses...decide for yourself...

Back From Denali...

It was a rough weekend, but, we survived!!  I put in for the Denali Lottery this spring on a whim and was shocked when we got a permit to drive through the park.  Taking a 5 month old wasn't really the best plan, but, I'm fairly confident she was the only kiddo under three in the entire park...that counts for something, right? ;O)  It may just clinch the fact that we were crazy...8+ hours in the truck driving through the wilderness, probably not something I plan to do again soon with a baby!  Owen learned a valuable life lesson while in the park though...you should never pee uphill! ;O)

I'll be back with more pics and more details later, I have two kiddos to get to bed and work in the morning, but, was excited to share.
